Different Fuel For Portable Heaters

People will use portable heaters for different purposes. Some will use it to keep themselves warm when camping while others might use it in the garage or basement – which get little to no heat during the winter. Most heaters will use gasoline or kerosene fuel – but there are other types to consider.

Corn

There are a variety of heaters on the market that will run using corn fuel. These simple heaters will use larges amounts of corn to burn as fuel in order to create heat. This is mostly done in rural areas because of how affordable it is when compared to natural gas and oil.

Wood Pellets

There are a few portable heaters that will burn using wood pellets. Pellets are small pieces of wood that are cheap to buy in large amounts and burn cleanly into the air. This is one of the more popular types of alternative fuel because little heat is lost while they are being used and they burn evenly.

Alcohol Gel

Alcohol gel is not the most common fuel because it is not safe to use it inside of the home. However, they come in handy when using portable heaters during camp. This type of alternative fuel burns clean into the air and is strong. One of the benefits of this is that it does no produce any smoke or fumes.
